Respectful Notification

(多杰羌佛第三世對[出版社聯合聲明]的開示 )

After the joint statement of our publishing companies was published in newspapers, we received today from the Office of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III a letter containing a short discourse given by H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III about this matter. We now make public this letter that we received.

The content of that letter is as follows:

To World Buddhism Publishing and World Dharma Voice Inc.:

After reading your statement, H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III specially instructed our office to pass on to you the view of H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III:

“First of all, I thank you for publishing the humble book H.H. Dorje Chang Buddha III in order to benefit living beings. I hope that book will add to the blessings and wisdom of living beings and will help them attain liberation. Additionally, there is something that needs to be discussed. I do not know whether you will consider the following. Your publishing companies are planning to take legal action against those ignorant and confused people who harm the true dharma of Buddhism. This definitely is your right, and I will not intervene. However, I hope that the goal of your legal action is to edify those confused people so that they will leave suffering and attain happiness. Thus, can you change your mentality of wanting to ‘discredit them thoroughly…and…bankrupt them’ to a mentality that wants them to ‘awaken to right understanding, have increased blessings and wisdom, hear the true dharma soon, and realize enlightenment’? Even when King Kalinga was dismembering an earlier incarnation of Sakyumuni Buddha, the Buddha remained unattached. Instead, the Buddha gave rise to the great compassion of enlightenment. I hope that my teaching on ‘What Is Cultivation?’ will be of benefit to you.”

Wishing you peace in the dharma!
